Christmas Letter

Hello and Merry Christmas from the Yadlowskys!

We hope this letter finds you all well. We are doing very well and wanted to update you on what has been happening in our lives in the last year. Last fall (2007) we felt God leading us back to Nipawin Bible College so that Adam could complete his fourth year and finally receive his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. We sold our house in Lac La Biche, Alberta , which provided over and beyond what we needed to pay for tuition, rent, and living costs for the year – God is so good! After Adam’s graduation in April 2008 we were at a loss of what to do and God didn’t seem to be giving us any direction for what to do next.

On May 7 we finally got to meet our second son, Jaden Marc. He was born 5 days past the due date, weighing 8 lbs 4 ounces – not a little guy! One week later we travelled to Saskatoon for the wedding of Adam’s sister, Lindsay. She married a friend of Adam’s from college, Rob Unruh. Both Adam and his brother got to be “bridesmen” and stand up for their sister, which was special for all of them.

In July Adam was able to travel to Israel with his dad and brother - a trip of a lifetime that he had been dreaming about for a long time. He was thrilled to see evidence of the rebuilding of Israel and the fulfillment of prophecy, as is written about in Ezekiel. When Adam returned from his trip we finally found out what God wanted us to do for the next while – Adam was offered a job at Nipawin Bible College , and we didn’t have to move anywhere! Well, we did have to move to a different house on campus, but not far (just into the house next door to where we currently were in the four-plex). We spent the last 2 months of the summer renovating a 1980’s mobile home that was already on campus, and moved into it a week before the students arrived. We are very grateful for all the help we got from both of our families – many, many thanks to the Ginthers and the Yadlowskys!

Adam was offered a position at NBC that included a few different roles: Faculty, Assistant Athletic Director, and Enrollment Advisor. So that means he has been teaching (he taught Cults and World Religions this past semester), coaching outdoor and indoor men’s soccer, and developing relationships with high school students by visiting their schools, and planning and organizing a large youth retreat weekend (Three60Five) coming up in March. Adam also keeps busy with building good relationships with the students on campus and mentoring a few of them as well. On top of that he has also been taking a course in Greek, as well as a correspondence course from Briercrest Seminary. And in spite of the busyness, he still manages to make time for his boys (and me too!), which he adores more than anything.

As for me (Susanna), I keep very busy with the boys at home. I try to get out with other moms when I can, which also gives Addison opportunities to play with other boys his age (all but two of the other children on campus are boys!). I’ve been leading a women’s Bible study group that meets weekly, and even though I know leadership is not my gift, it has been good to get together and learn and grow with these other moms. I was baptized on October 26 by my dad and Adam, and that was a very special day. It feels good to do what I know God wants me to do! I've also been mentoring one of the students here this year, and pray that God will continue to use me to encourage and teach and inspire the young ladies here on campus.

The boys are growing up so quickly! Addison turned 3 on December 14 and is enjoying anything that has to do with sports or construction equipment. He is learning the letters of the alphabet and what sounds they make, and has just about mastered writing his name. I guess his name is too long, as he does lose interest about halfway through. Jaden is nearly 8 months old now and such a joy and full of many, many smiles. He is moving himself all around the floor now somehow, but isn't crawling quite yet - very soon though! He loves to watch his older brother and laughs at just about anything Addison does. It might be fair to say that Addison ’s personality is a lot like Adam’s, and Jaden’s is a lot like mine, which should make for a well-balanced family!

As a family, we have never been better. God has been working in us and changing us and using us. We praise God for bringing us to NBC, and pray that He will keep using us to do great things for Him.

Love to you all,

Adam, Susanna, Addison and Jaden

Im also very glad that God has led your family to NBC.

I think that you have done very well with organizing and leading the ladies Bible Study, I'm enjoying being part of it.

I pray that God continues to bless your family as you minister to others at NBC.
